Join us at Matterhorn Apothecary for a hands-on Mushroom Cultivation Intensive, a two-part educational workshop designed to teach beginners the real techniques behind growing mushrooms at home.
This immersive class is led by experienced cultivators Kristina and Mike of Yellowbird Love Farms, who will guide participants step-by-step through the process of mushroom cultivation — from understanding sterile technique and grain preparation to inoculation, agar work, and identifying contamination.
Over the course of two sessions, participants will gain practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the confidence needed to begin cultivating mushrooms themselves.
This workshop is designed for anyone curious about mycology, sustainable food cultivation, or expanding their knowledge of fungi in a supportive small-group learning environment.
Participants will work directly with real cultivation tools and materials used by growers, making this a true learn-by-doing experience.
